Encouraging the next generation

As well as providing a range of top quality services to its clients, iConsult is dedicated to encouraging the next generation of IT technicians and engineers. Only by nurturing new talent can we ensure that iConsult remains at the top of its field and keep developing the Channel Island’s burgeoning IT industry.

Currently we have engaged in a working relationship with the Economic Development department to provide a learning experience for their registered university students.The offer of consideration for the scheme was taken up in February 2007 and already we have placed our first Student within the iConsult team for the summer fo 2007.

As an innovative leader in IT and an active part of local communities, iConsult actively encourage students who are heading to university to study an IT course, to get in touch if they would like to work with us in the holidays.

Chris is a student who approached iConsult in 2006 seeking a placement for thesummer whilst he was away from his IT course. Now, mid-way through his Computer Networking degree at university, Chris has become a valuable part of the team already.

Working with Chris has helped his studies because he has gained invaluable experience working for iConsult’s clients and alongside our engineering team. However, the benefits are not just one-sided, all of us at iConsult benefit from Chris’ joining the team and have also learned from him as he brings a fresh perspective to problems that we have become all to used to seeing.
